Located just southeast of Denver’s Central Business District you will find a well-established highly developed residential neighborhood called Capitol Hill.  Today, Capitol Hill is a mix of historic mansions, apartment buildings, and condos.  Although today the residents living in the area are very diverse, at one time (19th century) Capitol Hill was home to Denver's elite.  There are numerous restaurants, clubs, bars, stores, concert venues, and other cultural amenities in the community.

The area is bounded by Broadway, Downing, Colfax Ave, and Sixth Avenue. Restaurants, bars, clubs, concert halls and shops help keep Capitol Hill lively creating a vibrant cultural scene fitting for its urban living.  While many of its residents are artists and bohemians, the trend is switching to more business professionals who enjoy the convenience of living close to the city in a historic neighborhood.

Some of the attractions of Capitol Hill include the Colorado State Capitol building, The Fillmore (auditorium for concerts and shows), the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, and Cheeseman Park.  The bars and restaurants are a popular hangout for locals.  Charlie Brown's Bar & Grill and Hamburger Mary's is a place many locals flock.
