Kim Olson - Inspired Realtor, Inspired Editor, Inspired Marketing & Inspired Individual
When TheDenverSource.Com was considering who they felt would be best to represent this website, many Real Estate Agents with several years of experience came to mind. But for us, the number of years an agent had in our local housing market was secondary to where "they" felt the market was going in the future.
The announcement of Kim Olson as our new Chief Editor doesn't come as a surprise to many of her peers in Denver. Kim has always embraced the changes of our housing market by adapting her techniques as a Realtor® to meet the needs and concerns of our local residents. This in itself created a perfect synergy between our companies; Here at TheDenverSource.Com we believe that it is very important to build a sense of community. We try to adhere to a strict policy of promoting "local business owners" & "entrepreneurs" in Denver and the surrounding suburbs.
As we developed our "short list" of candidates for the position, Ms. Olson's marketing company Belle Maison caught our eye immediately. During the process, we found that the several years of consulting "start-up" companies in the Dallas area positioned her perfectly to embrace cutting edge techniques needed in today's housing market. To date, homes listed with Kim average 4 months on the market and generally produce Buyers from outside of Colorado. More recently, Kim has been experiencing a reach outside of the United States, capturing the attention of Buyers from as far away as England. Is that significant to home sellers, absolutely! In a highly competitive housing market, your home needs to be seen "everywhere"!
In addition, it was brought to our attention that Ms. Olson truly lived up to an outstanding reputation as a Real Estate Agent & "silent" community supporter. As we looked closer into her career biography we found that not only did she have the respect of her co-workers, but she chose to organize charitable events in support of places like "The Family Crisis Center". While an employee of Lehman Bros. Bank Kim organized a Christmas for the children of Denver whom had recently been made wards of the courts, raising over $10,000 towards the purchase of Christmas gifts, materials for the Centers on-site school & a perfectly stocked video library for the children's entertainment. A document dated December 20, 2005 from Kate Trujillo the Clinical Director of the Center stated "I can not thank you enough for your generosity to our kids. They each have heartbreaking stories. You helped to make this holiday the best it could be for them. Your support also helped to boost morale for a staff that does their best to make a difference. Knowing that there are so many people in the community that care makes all the difference to us."
Currently, Kim Olson hangs her Real Estate license with a local boutique office, Real Estate of the Rockies, that she finds shares the same values in regards to how an agent should serve their clients. David Binkowski and his wife Aggie have created a wonderful Agency with a sterling reputation. We at TheDenverSource have seen first hand the support and mentorship from David with his Agents. As with many Realtors®, David & Aggie are always available to assist their "Team" when situations present the need for a "Veteran Realtor®" to engage in negotiations. Our Staff often comment that "bigger isn't always better", and when we see the success of our local businesses, it makes us proud to be a part of what makes up the City of Denver.
Real Estate of the Rockies Real Estate of the Rockies (RER) is not your typical real estate company.
